Big Brother Naija reality star, Patrick Fakoya, popularly called Rico Swavey, has died after a ghastly car accident.
Fellow reality star Alex Asogwa better known as Alex Unusual confirmed this in a Twitter post on Thursday.
She wrote: “This was not what we agreed Rico. Rest In Peace #ricoswavey.”
Another Big Brother Naija star Tobi Bakre also confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Thursday morning.
Rico was on Wednesday said to have been on life support machine and needed prayers.

“Good morning sweethearts. Please put @iamricoswavey in your prayers today. He was involved in a ghastly accident hours ago and the doctors are still trying to resuscitate him as I just left the hospital. It’s really critical. I’m staying positive,” a female colleague posted.
Confirming the accident in a Twitter post on Wednesday, Rico’s management stated that the 29-year-old was in critical condition.
The tweet read: “Hello everyone, Rico Swavey is not disposed to handle his socials right now as he was involved in a ghastly accident and is currently on life support. While his situation is critical and doctors are on him, We need your support and prayers.”
The management also shared a video of the accident scene involving a white car and an 18-seater bus. The car was seriously damaged.
Rico Swavey contested in the third edition of the reality show which was eventually won by Miracle.
