Kanye West’s association with German sportswear manufacturer Adidas has ended, knocking him off the Forbes billionaires list.

Adidas severed relations with Kanye West on Tuesday following the controversial rapper’s anti-Semitic comments.

According to Forbes, after deducting the $1.5 billion worth of the Adidas contract from West’s profits, the rapper was no longer on the list of billionaires.

For years, West was connected with rival sportswear firm Nike, but he broke away in 2013, donating his name to Adidas when they unveiled their first Yeezy sneaker together in 2015 – a deal that made him a millionaire.

However, once the partnership ends, Ye, as he is now technically known, will have to rely on real estate and his music collection for income.

According to Forbes, “Ye is worth $400 million without Adidas.” According to Forbes, the rest of Ye’s income is made up of real estate, cash, his music archive, and a 5% investment in ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s shapewear company, Skims. (According to a source close to Skims, Ye hasn’t been connected with the company since its introduction in 2019.) ”

Adidas also suffered losses, with shares dropping nearly 8% to 95.88 euros in afternoon trade on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange following the news.
