Deyemi Okanlawon Speaks on Why he is Always Dying in Movies
Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon has finally revealed why his character in movies are always dying.
Over the cause of his career, the talented actor has starred in blockbuster movies where his character ends up dying.
From Blood Sisters to Brotherhood, Elesin Oba, and more; Deyemi is often given the death script.
Fans of the actor, are beginning to sense it’s a type of typecasting, as the constant death occurrence is already becoming a norm.

On his Twitter page, Deyemi opened up on the reasons why he is always choosing to play such roles.
According to him, his budget could be the reason as he has a high bill.

Deyemi made this known as he replied a tweep.
He added that if he bills the tweep his daily rate, he could end up killing him in real life.

Deyemi Okanlawon on Blood Sisters
Actor Deyemi Okanlawon had detailed how his role in Nigeria’s Netflix original series, Blood Sisters, affected him mentally.
In the series, Deyemi acted as Kola Ademola, an abusive partner who brutalised his victims as a pastime.
On his Twitter page, the actor noted that perfecting his role in the movie was a mentally draining process.
He earlier tweeted, “Kola Ademola definitely affected me more than I care to admit and it took months to get to a semblance of normalcy. Strangely while I still firmly believe aggression should be met with justice, I now empathize with people who carry such demons.”
Deyemi’s Blood Sisters role
Shedding more light on the post, he added, “As Deyemi Okanlawon I pray to continue to defend victims of discrimination and violence with my life.
“However, as an ACTOR, my craft dictates in order to give the best performance I cannot judge a character’s life/actions but must become the character.
“In order to embody a character, I have to temporarily suspend my personal beliefs to truly understand who they are and why they do what they do.
This is a very mentally draining process and oftentimes after such experiences I would need help and time to rediscover my true North.
