In a press release distributed online, the singer’s management confirmed this.

David Adeleke, best known as Davido, a Nigerian Afrobeat singer, has rescheduled his AWAY music event.
The musician made this known through his management in an online press statement.

This comes only two weeks after the musician and his fiancee, Chioma Rowland, tragically lost their three-year-old kid in a drowning tragedy on Monday, October 31st, 2022.

However, the ‘Aye’ crooner has been forced to reschedule the AWAY festival due to the tragic tragedy.

The statement stated that while postponing the event was regrettable, it was essential and that all ticket buyers will be honoured on the new date.

Davido’s management also apologized to his followers for the disappointment and vowed to return with a larger and better event on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

“We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023.

“To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honored for the 2023 date. We understand that you must be disappointed but we promise to come back with a bigger and better show.

“Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future.
