Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, better known by his stage name Bella Shmurda, has admitted that he is on a mission to portray the Nigerian music industry as having a “musical” issue.

In a recent interview with Apple’s Dadaboy Ehiz about his subject of tension, Bella Shmurda made this point clear. Stress is stress. The tension is Bella Shmurda.

I basically categorize myself as a tension and an issue to the industry because my sound is the tension and everything wonderful is the tension. You realize that you can’t surprise me? And the album is unexpected.

Bella Shmurda claimed that he has been attempting to calm down by changing his vibe.

He said, “I just feel like people feel like my vibe is hard to combine. It’s not something you can just wake up in the morning and just want to vibe to. It’s not just a vibe, it’s something you have to think about, something that goes a long way. Me, personally, I’ve been trying to calm it down with my vibes, because I really want people to vibe with me. I don’t want it to be too hard for people to vibe with me. There are important people in this music industry that don’t like it, they can’t do it so harshly. You can’t do it too harshly because they won’t follow.”
