Manuel claimed that the encounter happened after his vehicle accident several years prior. The actor admitted that days after the accident when he first started experiencing discomfort, he went to a general hospital on Lagos Island.

He said: “I’ve been told three times to go and get a wheelchair and that was by experts, people who should know. They told me, Mr Manuel, do you know anyone abroad? Maybe they can get you the electric type so you’ll be able to use it myself but said no.”
