Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, a.k.a. KWAM 1, a Nigerian Fuji maestro, has at long last spoken out in response to claims that he publicly humiliated his wife, Emmanuella Ropo, during his surprise 66th birthday dinner.
Several Nigerians expressed their unhappiness with the manner KWAM 1 handled his wife in the event that went viral on social media.
In an apparent act of affection, Emmanuella was seen on camera trying to kiss her husband in front of family and friends. Sadly, KWAM 1 appeared to ignore her open display of adoration, turning his head away. Social media users responded to the video in a variety of ways, with many speculating that there might be problems in the couple’s marriage.
Thankfully, KWAM 1 band member Kunle Rasheed issued a statement on Tuesday on the singer’s behalf that clarified the situation and refuted claims that the singer was being publicly humiliated by her spouse.
