Desmond Elliot, a politician and actor in Nollywood, has decried the animosity that people have toward him because of the remark he made in 2020.

Desmond Elliot faced harsh criticism in 2020 during the #EDNSARS protest when a video of him speaking during a plenary session of the Lagos state House of Assembly showed him referring to Nigerian youngsters as children.

Although Desmond Elliot apologized for the comment he made, it appears the past has come back to haunt him. This comment did not sit well with the majority of Nigerian youth who have been dragging him since the incident in 2020.

Desmond Elliot apologized once more and explained that he made the remark out of emotion during a recent Your View, “Let’s Talk” interview. He continued to sob, saying that the hatred directed at him was excessive. He admitted that every time he walks down the street, he is verbally abused.
