Believe, the lover of James Brown’s sister, affirms that their relationship was predicated on power while denying accusations of rape made against him.
This comes after Gracious Brown said that her boyfriend had assaulted her physically after attempting to rape her friend.

In a subsequent account, believe claimed that the accusations of rape against him were untrue and that he had paid Gracious to be his girlfriend in exchange for influence and to help him market his songs.
