In memory of the late performer Lanre Fasasi, called Sound Sultan, the Temple Management Company hosted a Ramadan lecture.
Last Wednesday, April 12, the lecture—which culminated in an Iftar—was held in Lagos.
It was the second time the Temple Management Company held the annual Sound Sultan Ramadan and Iftar lecture in memory of the late singer, actor, and author.
Jubril Saba, a scholar of Islam, gave the audience members the lecture for the second time.
The speaker, Saba, gave the artists the challenge of using their widespread influence to promote Islam and ethical behaviour in their field. The late Sound Sultan was a devout Muslim and a good man, according to Saba. He prayed for the late singer’s wife, kids, and other family members as well.

Saba addressed the creative community and urged them to make long-lasting improvements in society.
“We have a massive role to play in this effort, we must make a concerted effort at national orientation, harnessing our collective passions and desires in a common direction for a common purpose,”
The late Sound Sultan’s admirers, celebrities, and families were also able to watch the Ramadan lecture and Iftar live via Zoom.
Sound Sultan’s widow Farida and his three children Zara, Mayowa, and Bidemi, who joined through Zoom, are all present at the religious gathering. The late singer’s brother Dare Fasasi, aka Baba Dee, TMC and Ogidi Studios CEO Idris Olorunnimbe, friends, family, and employees of the Temple Management Company, as well as members of the media, were also present.
