Jaruma, Kayanmata Seller: Reportedly Checked Into Rehab For Substance Abuse

Controversial media personality, as well as a renowned Kayamata seller, Jaruma, has been reportedly checked into rehab to address her struggles with substance abuse.

While speculations regarding her situation have been circulating for some time, it was popular social media influencer Tosin SilverAdam who shed light on the matter, confirming that Jaruma had indeed been admitted to a rehabilitation facility. SilverAdam further appealed to Nigerians to keep Jaruma in their thoughts and prayers, hoping for her successful recovery and healing.

The reasons behind Jaruma’s reported entry into rehab are not entirely clear, but various factors have been suggested. Some have speculated that it might be linked to her previous divorce from her ex-husband and the myriad of social media controversies she has encountered throughout her career. Others believe that the pressure of living a perceived “fake life” during the height of her social media fame might have contributed to her struggles with substance abuse and the subsequent need for rehab.

Looking back to 2021, Jaruma made a notable plea for financial assistance, a clear cry for help. She initially called out Regina Daniels, revealing that she urgently needed her money returned. According to Jaruma, she had engaged in a business arrangement with Regina Daniels but hadn’t received her agreed-upon compensation. Jaruma claimed to have paid Regina Daniels a sum of 10 million Naira for advertising her products and insisted on the return of her money. She even shared the contract agreement issued on November 11, 2020, which documented their transaction. The agreement showed that Regina accepted the money for the role of a brand influencer, although it was unsigned due to failed attempts to amend the contract.

In 2022, Jaruma made a similar appeal, this time calling out individuals such as Ubi Franklin, Tacha, Big Brother Naija contestants Ella and Esther, and several others to help her financially. She stressed that she had been there for them when they needed assistance and implored them to reciprocate the favor. In a video shared while seemingly in a hospital bed, she expressed her distress at receiving no help, emphasizing that this was a side of Jaruma that the public had not witnessed before. She also noted that, being an only child, she had no one to turn to for support, and she subsequently called out this list of individuals who owed her money.

However, the response to her pleas remains unknown, and the latest development reveals that Jaruma is now in rehab, taking steps towards her recovery from substance abuse.
