David Adeleke, better known as Davido, is the target of a N2.3 billion lawsuit brought by Mr. Amaju Pinnick, the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, and his company, Brownhill Investments Company Limited, for allegedly breaking a contract or agreement they had.
Brownhill filed the lawsuit, which is designated EHC/183/2023, with the Effurun Delta State High Court.
The claimant is requesting a N2 billion general damages award against Davido and his record company, Davido Music Worldwide Limited, through its attorney, Kelechi Onwuegbuchulem.
The claimant is pleading with the court to provide Davido N150 million in legal and professional expenses in addition to an extra N30 million to cover the cost of bringing the lawsuit.
