Nigerian singer Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by her stage as Simi, has thanked her supporters and admirers as the year comes to an end. The Duduke hitmaker was touched by the year-end Spotify wrap and took a minute to acknowledge the constant support she received throughout the year, despite not releasing an album, despite the obstacles of 2023.

Simi acknowledged that the year had been difficult because she had originally intended to release an album as well as several singles. The Joromi singer made note of the unpredictable nature of the music industry as well as the challenges she faces in the background to present her best self.

Despite any delays or modifications to her 2023 creative goals, she thanked her fans for their unwavering support, boasting over 3.6 million listeners and 28.6 million streaming. The singer of Smile For Me, though, expressed hope for a better 2024 and urged her audience to embrace the future. Part of what she said:

“My year didn’t go how I planned. I’m not mad about it; I’m just stating for the record. I’d be crazy to give life any ultimatums, because by design, life is unpredictable.
