Netflix Set to Hike Subscription Price in Nigeria
Netflix has communicated an update to increase the it’s pricing structure for Nigerian customers.
The hike is set to take effect in April 2024 as the streaming giant’s Standard Plan will see an increase from the current rate of ₦3,600 to ₦ 4,000.
This adjustment comes as part of a broader strategy by Netflix to revise its subscription fees across various regions.

This changes are aimed at accelerating the company’s revenue and earnings growth, following a pattern of periodic price hikes to support the expansion of content offerings.
The standard plan, popular among Nigerian subscribers for its HD quality and multi- screen viewing options, will now join the ranks of other plans that have seen recent price increments.
The Basic Plan remains at ₦2,900 while the Premium Plan, offering ultra HD quality and additional screen, is priced at 5,000 Naira.
Globally, Netflix has been adjusting prices in key markets including the United States, United Kingdom, and France, with the Basic and Premium Plans experiencing increases in October, 2023.
