Saudi Sports Ministry Denies Rumors of Ronaldo Meeting with Sports Minister
The Saudi Sports Ministry has dismissed rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo met with the Saudi Sports Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, following his recent red card incident. Rumors circulated online that the two had discussed the incident, but the ministry has clarified that no such meeting took place.
According to the minister, “There is no truth to the rumors circulating about any contact between HRH the Minister of Sport and the Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo. What is being talked about in this regard is completely untrue.”
Ronaldo was sent off for elbowing Ali Al-Bulayhi during Al-Nassr’s 2-1 loss to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup Semifinals.
