Doris Simeon, a seductive Nollywood actress, has stated that she is not ashamed of working odd jobs in the US to support herself and her children.
The gifted actress said as much in a recent interview with Kunle Afod, a colleague.
She talked about her experiences since moving to the United States.
Travelling from Nigeria to the US in 2018, Doris decided to stay to take care of her son and his father, who also reside there.
However, this meant that the Nigerian actress would have to start again from scratch—a truth that, although frightening, she faced fearlessly.

One of the reasons I chose to remain here is that my child is with his father here in the United States. Since moving here in 2018, I’ve missed my native Nigeria a lot. The street meals in Nigeria, such roasted yam and maize, are what I miss the most. My family and friends are also missed.
“It was not easy starting all over, because in this place, only the tough will last. If one is lazy, one will be hungry. People who have been here for 20 to 50 years don’t find it easy, because with the kind of system they have, one cannot avoid paying bills. If one does not work, one won’t eat, and one won’t be able to pay bills,” she told Afod.
