‘Dancing Senator’ Adeleke Unveils Hidden Talent as Singing Governor at his Installation as ‘Asiwaju Ede’

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, mesmerised guests at his installation as the Asiwaju of Ede land with his musical and dancing talents on Monday. Adeleke was officially installed as Asiwaju of Ede land on Monday in a ceremony attended by dignitaries.

During the installation, the governor, adorned in traditional Yoruba attire called Aso-Oke and embellished with Yoruba coronation leaves (ewe akoko), captivated the audience with his performance.

The governor, affectionately known for his dancing, charmed attendees by singing Yoruba praise songs like “Emi ni kan lo ye” (Only I understand why I am praising the Lord) and “Oluwa mi modupe” (My God, I thank you).

 

Congratulations on your installation as THE ASIWAJU OF EDE LAND, your Excellency,” he posted. During his performance, Governor Adeleke expressed profound gratitude to the Almighty.

In a heartfelt vote of thanks, he also extended appreciation to the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, acknowledging the privilege bestowed upon him.

Furthermore, the governor expressed gratitude to all dignitaries in attendance, encapsulating the spirit of unity and appreciation at the occasion.
