On Thursday, the actor spoke at a peace walk at the Lekki tollgate axis in Lagos state.
The walk was held in memory of the Nigerians who died at the #EndSARS protest against police brutality on October 20, 2020.
Speaking with an Arise TV reporter, Mr Macaroni claimed that, unlike last year when he and many protesters were assaulted, the security operatives were being careful because it is election season.
“It (clampdown on protesters) won’t be the same thing this year. They won’t touch anybody because it’s election season and they are looking for votes,” he said.

“It just goes to show how deceptive government can be at times.” As a result, they must recognize that this fight is for the benefit of the Nigerian people.
“Before becoming a police officer, governor and president, you are first a Nigerian. So at the end of the day, if Nigeria is good for everyone, we will have a peaceful country.”
The skit maker said the demand for justice would not stop until government do the “right thing”.
“We should throw this question to the government. For how long should we continue to do this? A government should be one to serve and protect the people, not one that will say ‘come today, go tomorrow,” he added.
“We should ask the government, are we going to be here next year? Are they going to fulfill the promises, so this is a call of action to the federal and state government to the right thing?
