Ex-Ivorian Footballer, Didier Drogba, did not Convert to Islam, PRNigeria Check-Fact Reveals
Nigeria’s leading fact-checking platform, PRNigeria, has debunked the report of former Ivorian soccer legend, Didier Drogba’s convertion from Christianity to Islam.
A post recently emerged on social media platforms claiming that Drogba has converted to Islam.
But PRNigeria’s investigation revealed that Drogba, himself, debunked the widely shared post that announced his conversion to Islam via his Twitter handle. (https://prnigeria.com/2022/11/08/fact-check-drogba-islam/)

Therefore, PRNigeria concluded that the claim of conversion of Drogba to Islam is therefore FALSE.

A retired Ivorien professional footballer who played as a striker, Didier Drogba is the all-time top scorer of the Ivory Coast national team.
He is best known for his career at Chelsea, for whom he has scored more goals than any other foreign player and is the club’s fourth highest goal scorer of all time at at October 2022.
Drogba played 790 matches during his career with clubs and the national team of Cote d’Ivoire where he was the Captain.
He scored 365 goals, assisted 126 others, and succeeded in achieving the African Player of the Year award in 2006 and 2009.
