The discussion surrounding Mmesoma Ejikeme’s UTME results has been joined by Charles Oputa, a well-known Nigerian artist and sociopolitical activist also known by his stage name Charly Boy.

After Mmesoma claimed to have received the highest score—362—in the 2023 UTME, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, or JAMB, later accused her of fabricating her results.

Mmesoma expressed disbelief that a result she printed from the JAMB website could be deemed false by the test board without a thorough inquiry in a viral video she appeared in on Monday.

She angrily refuted the accusation, claiming that she is powerless to control the outcome.

On Monday night, Charly Boy addressed the subject on Twitter and raised doubt about JAMB’s claim.

He requested that the board provide Mmesoma’s exam results so that an outside organisation may comment on them.

He noted:

“JAMB must produce her paper for an external body to remark. I don’t trust the mark they claim they awarded her right now.

“JAMB has ended up making the young girl popular and the girl on the other hand exposed JAMB corruption & ineptitude just like INEC.”
