I started mimicking Davido – Skit maker, Nasboi

Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji, better known by his stage as Nasboi, has revealed why he began his career by imitating Davido.

Nasboi, who debuted as “Low Budget OBO” on the Nigerian entertainment scene, claimed that he was imitating the DMW leader in order to catch his attention.

The comedian made this revelation lately while participating in the interview section of MTV Base Naija Top 10.

He claimed that his goal was to catch Davido’s eye and impress him with his musical prowess.

“I started off mimicking Davido. So, the plan was to get David’s attention for my music. I disturbed this guy till he invited me one day and I started playing my music.”

On why he became a skit maker, Nasboi said, “It started looking like cruise to everybody. So, I said, okay, let’s jump on it. That’s how I jumped on it and it started looking like it demanded for me to start making skits. So, I had no option than to make skits.”
