Not long after receiving a Grammy Award, well-known rapper Killer Mike was taken into custody.
The rapper was “taken away in handcuffs” during the main category show on Crypto.com Arena, according to Chris Gardner, a senior staff writer at Hollywood Reporter.

On his X account, Gardener shared a video of the rapper being taken away by police officers, writing: “Breaking: Rapper Killer Mike has been taken away in handcuffs in Crypto.com arena after winning 3 #Grammys during telecast (Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for “Scientists & Engineers,” Best Rap Album for Michael) “Free Mike” someone shouts as he walks past.”
Before being sent to prison, Killer Mike won three Grammys, including Best Rap Song for his song “Scientists & Engineers,” which he co-won with Eryn Allen Kane, Andre 3000, and Future.
It is still unclear why he was arrested specifically.
