Junior Pope: AGN Suspends Movies, Gives Safety Guidelines

In response to the tragic boat accident that claimed the life of actor John Paul Odonwodo, known as Junior Pope, and four other crew members, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced a number of stringent measures to punish the culprits and avoid a future occurrence.

According to the statement issued on Wednesday by its president, Dr. Ejezie Emaka Rollas, all films involving riverine areas and boat riding have been suspended indefinitely, and no filming is allowed on any location nationwide on Thursday April 11, 2024.

Additionally, the film ‘Another Side of Life’ has been suspended indefinitely, and no actor is allowed to work with Adamma Luke as a producer until further notice.

The Guild has also announced that it is still searching for the bodies of the missing crew members, and extended its deepest condolences to the families of those who were lost in the tragic accident.
