Popular comedian Woli Arole has responded to criticism of the reality show Big Brother Naija, encouraging them to support their “godly” events rather than complain.

In an Instagram post, Arole stated that those seeking more clean material should put their money where their mouth is and create their own reality television series.

He pointed out that some rich Christians may afford to fund events that reflect their ideals.

Arole’s comments follow calls for BBNaija to be banned owing to its perceived immorality.

However, the comic contended that detractors have no right to dictate how the show is run if they are unable to invest in alternative content.

He wrote: “Nobody should complain about BBNaija ooo. Do your own Goldy reality TV shows, too!! If you don’t sponsor them, you can’t tell them how they should behave. Do yours!! There are billionaires that are Christians drop money for godly TV shows. Shikena”.
