Seun Egbegbe, a former Nollywood star and filmmaker, has come out for the first time after being released from prison.

He told Biola Bayo about his time in jail and how he coped with it.

Egbegbe stated in the interview that he went to jail for only one charge since his lawyer successfully opposed the remaining 44 counts against him.

He regarded jail life as a dreadful experience that he would never want anybody else to go through. Egbegbe also declared his intention to visit jails across the country to support convicts.

Seun Egbegbe revealed that a few weeks after entering jail, he became overcome by sadness and nearly died.

He made a pledge during this difficult moment. He promised God that if he survived his 11-year sentence, he would change his ways and devote himself to helping others.

Egbegbe argued that incarceration is an excellent equaliser. He stated seeing former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose and well-known Lagos-Dubai socialite Mompha while in prison.

During his interview with Biola Bayo, the former film producer divulged numerous details.
